Scholarship for Japanese International Students

This scholarship is open to Japanese graduate students who study or plan to study in countries other than Japan for doctoral or master’s degrees.
Only Japanese citizens are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
All research fields are welcome.
Apply for the scholarship using our online application system(The system opens during the Application Period). Applicants should directly apply to the foundation without pre-selection by the university.

◆Period and amount of scholarship
The scholarship will be provided monthly throughout the minimum period required to acquire the degree. The amount of scholarship depends on differs based on the period as below:
USD2,500, or BGP2,000, or EUR1,700 per month for 1 ~ 2 years degree
USD2,250, or GBP1,800, or EUR1,550 per month for 3 years degree
USD1,875, or GBP1,500, or EUR1,300 per month for 4 ~ 5 years of degree
